The practical answer
Edibles do not move on curtain time. The effect can be delayed, the duration can outlast the show, and the setting is unusually constrained: assigned seats, crowds, ushers, security, small lobbies, and limited ability to step away without disrupting the night.
Before a show, keep it boring
If you are new to edibles, visiting from out of town, mixing with alcohol, or unsure of your tolerance, a Broadway show is not the place to test limits. Eat first, hydrate, understand the serving size, and plan the ride home before you consume anything.
Theater, hotel, and transit reality
Theaters, restaurants, hotels, and other private businesses can set their own rules. Public consumption rules are also separate from possession rules. Keep products sealed while moving, do not drive, and do not assume a hotel room, lobby, restaurant, or venue allows cannabis use.
Better Midtown plan
Buy from a licensed dispensary earlier, keep products sealed, see the show, eat after, and make consumption decisions only when you know where you are going next and how you are getting there.
